On your first visit to our office, our friendly staff will help take care of the paperwork and check insurance benefits on your behalf. The doctor will review your medical history and will perform a thorough examination and x-rays (if necessary) to determine the underlying cause of your pain. After analyzing your history, examination and any imaging, the doctor will determine whether you are a candidate for treatment. The doctor may order advanced diagnostic testing, such as MRI and CT, if needed. When necessary, patients are referred to other specialists.

You will be given a report of findings to explain the diagnosis and recommended treatment options. This is typically done on your second visit. Many patients choose to bring a family member for the report of findings. This is also a good time to get any questions that you have answered prior to beginning treatment.
Treatment usually begins on the second visit but may also be given on the first visit at the doctor's discretion.

Chiropractic treatment is generally painless, although some patients will experience soreness following the initial treatments, similar to starting a new exercise program. While healing takes time, the majority of patients report immediate pain relief.

In addition to chiropractic adjustments (AKA spinal manipulation), patients are treated with therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound and therapeutic exercise.
